Walker County sheriff Steve Wilson was roasted by his comrades and friends Friday night, hosted by the Rossville Exchange Club at the Walker County Civic Center. Needing a badge of courage instead of his law enforcement shield, Wilson sat among the four roasters. Each roaster gave praise of Wilson’s personality and professionalism, along with humorous tales of the man who has been Walker County sheriff since 1996. He was recently diagnosed with cancer.
