The Rossville Middle School Bulldogs got 21 points and 10 rebounds from Grayson Moore, and used a 12-2 run in the final 3:59 of the game, to pull away and beat visiting Lakeview, 40-28, during an NGAC basketball clash on Tuesday.

Rossville scored the game's first six points and later went on an 8-2 run to end the second quarter as they doubled up the Warriors, 24-12, in the first half.

But Lakeview would hold the Bulldogs to just two points in the third quarter, and a bucket by Zak Anderson with 6:08 to play sliced Rossville's lead down to just two points at 28-26.

Both teams would go scoreless for the next two minutes until a three-pointer by Moore finally got the Bulldogs' offense going again. A trey by Jacob Gadd and an eight-foot baseline jumper by Jalyn Shelton added to the final run, which was capped by a steal and a lay-up by Gadd with 1:32 to play.

Shelton finished with nine points, while Sonny Green added eight rebounds. Anderson paced the Warriors with nine points.

In the girls' game, the Lady Warriors jumped out to a 16-7 lead at intermission, then held the Lady Bulldogs to just four points in the second half in a 37-11 victory.

Kurston Henry had 12 points for Lakeview, while Rachel Harwood added nine.

Abbey Thompson had a team-high four points for Rossville.
