A former Catoosa County sheriff's deputy was indicted on 14 charges Wednesday that center on allegations of sexual exploitation, sodomy, and porn distribution involving a minor female child.

William Stephen Crossen, who was let go by the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office on Feb. 29, is being charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a child, six counts of dissemination of computer pornography, as well as counts of sodomy and interference with custody.

According to the Lookout Mountain district attorney's office, a Catoosa County grand jury returned a special presentment indictment regarding the case following an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Crossen was booked into the Catoosa County jail Thursday about 1:40 p.m. after he turned himself in, reports show.
