The Ringgold High School marching Tiger band placed first in the Gold Division and scored superior ratings in drum majors, color guard, percussion and band at the seventh annual Georgia Marble Marching Festival and Competition in Jasper, Ga., on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Along with these accomplishments, the Ringgold High marching Tiger band was also named Grand Champions of the event.

The festival and competition included about 20 bands from schools in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and South Carolina.

“I’m very proud of the efforts of our students,” band director Robin Christian said. “Their hard work and dedication has paid off, which is always great.”

The Ringgold High marching Tiger band will compete again on Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Valhalla Classic at Northgate High School in Noonan, Ga.
