According to the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, residential sale statistics for the Northwest Georgia Area from Jan. 1 through Aug. 31 are as follows:

For Catoosa County, there were 411 sales. The total amount of the sales was $54,363,818, and the median sale price was $120,900.

For Walker County, there were 300 sales. The total amount of the sales was $28,646,754, and the median sale price was $84,950.

For Dade County, there were 55 sales. The total amount of the sales was $6,512,888, and the median sale price was $115,000.

For Whitfield County, there were 71 sales. The total amount of the sales was $5,974,355, and the median sale price was $67,900.

For Chattooga County, there were 22 sales. The total amount of the sales was $1,900,230, and the median sale price was $84,590.

In total for the area, there were 859 sales, for a total amount of $97,398,045. The median sale price overall was $107,500.

The overall number of sales increased for the month of August compared to the month of July in the above listed counties. The total sales for all the northwest Georgia counties increased by over 3 million dollars. While median sales are still low for the above listed counties, there was still an increase in the number of sales for the month of August compared to July sales.
