Alanna Rae Pierce became the bride of Matthew Alan Hunt in a beautiful ceremony Thursday, June 17, overlooking the ocean in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The Rev. Garland Black performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Linda Pierce of Tunnel Hill, and the groom is the son of Alan and Sherry Hunt of Chattanooga. Attendants of the bride were her sisters Sheryl Pierce and Deanna Baker. Alan Hunt served as best man for the groom.

After the private reception at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in Jamaica, the couple honeymooned at the resort. They were honored with a local reception at the Emerson-Russell Renaissance Center Friday, June 25.

The bride is the granddaughter of Lois Ward and the late Ralph Greeson of Tunnel Hill and Margie Pierce and the late Ralph Pierce of Graysville. The groom is the grandson of Erma Hunt of Owensboro, Ky. and the late Doris Perkins and Thomas Johnson of Bowling Green, Ky.

Alanna is employed as a teacher at New Hope Middle School in Whitfield County, and Matthew is employed as an electrician by Norfolk Southern Railroad. They reside in Ringgold.
