As a Broadway favorite, and arguably one of the most popular films of all time, “The Wizard of Oz” comes to Ringgold offering a little something for every member of the family. A story full of magic, mystery, and adventure ensures a wonderful theatrical experience for all theatergoers in the area.
As teenage Dorothy Gale, played by Kandis Guice, embarks on a journey to find her way back to her Kansas home, she meets a wide range of personalities such as the Scarecrow (JC Smith), the Tin Man (Kenya White), and the Cowardly Lion (Josh Harshman). While meeting new friends and trying to avoid the Wicked Witch of the West (Jan Daigle), Dorothy and audiences will experience the mystical Land of Oz with characters they’ve grown to love and songs that never get old.
Performances will be March 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on March 13 at 10 a.m. School matinees will also be available by reservation only on March 5 and March 12.
With a story that everybody knows by heart, a talented cast, and plenty of little munchkins sprinkled in, “The Wizard of Oz” is sure to please its devoted fans as well as introduce itself to the younger generation seeing it for the first time.
