Due to the threat of inclement weather, Walker County schools will be dismissed at noon today.

Also, schools in the Catoosa County system will close early today. Elementary schools will dismiss at noon. Secondary schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.

Chickamauga City Schools are also dismissing early today. Chickamauga elementary will dismiss at 1:00. Gordon Lee Middle and High schools will dismiss at 1:15.

All Walker County buildings are closed today. Tonight's Chamber of Commerce dinner at the Walker County Civic Center has been postponed.

Residents are advised to stay off the roads. "Roads are very icy and dangerous," said Walker County resource coordinator Larry Brooks.
