A large crowd is expected to line McFarland Avenue tonight for the Rossville Down Home Christmas Parade.

The annual parade is scheduled for 7 p.m. with Walker County commissioner Bebe Heiskell and Rossville mayor Johnny Baker serving as the grand marshals.

The parade will be highlighted by the music of the Ridgeland Rhythm of the Ridges and Gordon Lee marching bands.

In addition, there’s a surprise to be revealed tonight.

The parade lineup will begin at 5:30 at the Rossville Community Center/Hutcheson Memorial field. The parade route will be Williams Street (north) to West Lake Avenue (east) to McFarland Avenue (south) to Ellis Road (west) into Rossville City Park.
