Phil Spencer, a candidate for the Catoosa County Utility District board, said more than three-fourths of his political signs have been stolen.

Spencer has filed a report with the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office. The signs were stolen and removed between Saturday, Oct. 3, and Sunday, Oct. 4, he aid.

Spencer said he’s offering a “$500 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these thefts.”

Spencer said he had “hundreds” of sign throughout the county.

He said a neighbor in Morris Estates subdivision who has surveillance on his property may have footage of the theft and that the tapes are being reviewed. He said he encourages anyone else with surveillance to review footage as well.

Spencer can be contacted at 423-991-3754 or 706-891-8923.

Is it true that when someone puts a sign on your property without your permission, it becomes yours? If so, Phil Spencer needs to understand the aggravation this causes. Some of his signs are missing because of this & ending up in the garbage.
