The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Powell of Rossville. The groom is the son of Shelia Kennedy of Chickamauga and Joseph Thomas Kennedy Jr. of Chickamauga.
The brides maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond O. Hart. The brides paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Powell of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.
The grooms maternal grandmother is Betty Huddleston of Chickamauga. The grooms paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Kennedy Sr. of Southside, Ala.
The church was decorated in pink and white silk fabric and pink and white floral arrangements made up of white lilies and pink accenting flowers. The white runner up to the stage was lined with pink and white rose petals. A memory table was set up for the brides uncles, Steve Hart and Chuck Powell.
A picture slideshow of the bride and groom from childhood through dating years was shown before the ceremony.
The music was presented by Mara Cloud. The bride walked down the aisle to From This Moment sung by Mara Cloud.
The brides mother wore a black satin gown with a pink corsage of baby roses. She was escorted in by groomsman Brandon Powell, her son, and brother of the bride. She carried a candle and a pink rose given to her by the groom. The grooms mother wore a floral silk dress with a pink corsage of baby roses. She was escorted in by her son and best man, Joseph A. Kennedy, brother of the groom. She carried a candle and a pink rose given to her by the groom. Both mothers participated in a unity candlelighting ceremony.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a white taffeta gown with a heart-shaped bodice and a pink sash laced down the back with pink ribbons. Her white veil was detailed with Swarovski crystals. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses. She wore a silver bracelet given to her by the groom on the day of the wedding. Her father wore a black tuxedo with a pink vest and pink tie with a pink boutonniere.
Serving as maid of honor was Sabrina Russell of Fort Oglethorpe. She was dressed in a black satin dress with a pink sash and carried a bouquet of pink roses.
Serving as bridesmaids were Jamie Deregiotis of Rossville, and Lacey Powell of Fort Oglethorpe, sister-in-law of the bride. They were dressed in black satin dresses with a pink sash and carried a small bouquet of pink roses with babys breath.
The flower girls were Maleigha Powell, niece of the bride, and Ashley Evans, cousin of the groom. They were attired in white satin dresses with a pink sash. They carried pink baskets filled with pink rose petals.
The groom wore a white tuxedo with a pink vest and pink tie with a pink boutonniere. He also wore a copper-colored Fossil watch given to him as a present from the bride.
The grooms brother, Joseph A. Kennedy of Chickamauga, was the best man. The groomsmen were Taylor Eberhart of Chickamauga, and Brandon Powell, brother of the bride, of Fort Oglethorpe. They were attired in black tuxedos with black vests and pink ties with a pink boutonniere. Malachi Powell, nephew of the bride, and Zachary Evans, cousin of the groom, served as ringbearers and wore white tuxedos with pink vests and pink ties with a pink boutonniere. They carried antique mirrored jewelry boxes, one pink for the brides ring and one black for the grooms ring.
Participating as greeter was Mitchell Wooten, a friend of both the bride and groom. Ushers were the groomsmen and best man.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Catoosa County Colonnade, which was decorated in pink, white and black decorations. The tables were covered in black and white cloths with glass candle arrangements. A buffet lunch was served to all the guests, catered by Terry ONeal and Gail VanFossen with Chik-Fil-A.
The brides cake was a three-tiered buttercream cake decorated with a silver K monogram on the top. The grooms cake was chocolate with chocolate icing and grapes on the top, made by the brides grandmother.
Musical entertainment was provided by Adam Bennett and Gerald Newbill from Covered In Scars. The couples first dance was to Its Your Love by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The bride and her father danced to I Loved Her First by Heartland.
Following a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Fort Oglethorpe.
A lingerie shower was held June 16 for family and close friends. It was hosted by Lacey Powell and Sabrina Russell.
A bridal tea was held July 7 at the Tea Cottage in Chattanooga, Tenn. It was hosted by the brides mother and Sabrina Russell.
A bridal shower was held July 10 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Rossville. The ladies of the church hosted this event.
The bachlorette party took place in Chattanooga on July 28 and the bachelor party took place in Chattanooga July 27.
The rehearsal dinner took place at Shiloh Baptist Church in Rossville on Aug. 2. It was hosted by the grooms family. The dinner was catered by Sticky Fingers and the grooms cake has Texas Longhorns on top of it and was prepared by the Cold Stone Creamery.
