The Gordon Lee Middle School baseball team improved to 4-1 on the year with an impressive 15-0 shutout of Chattanooga Baylor in a Saturday afternoon contest at AT&T Field in Chattanooga.

Alex Spires led the hit parade, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the rout. Cody Wilson had two hits and a RBI. Tanner Sexton had a double and drove in two runs while Daniel Brooks also doubled and scored three times.

Chattanooga Valley 5, Rossville 4

The Eagles needed extra innings, but finally outlasted the rival Bulldogs in a game played at Ridgeland on Saturday afternoon.

Jacob McNabb picked up the win in relief of Daniel Johnson, who struck out seven in six innings.

Johnson had a double and a RBI at the plate. Isaac Marteen drove in Dakota Genter with the eventual game-winning hit in the top of the eighth
