The Rossville Middle School Bulldogs kept rolling on Thursday with a 36-0 home win over county rival LaFayette.
The Bulldogs (4-0) took a 14-0 lead at half on the strength of an 82-yard touchdown run and a 15-yard touchdown run by Jamie Wilbanks. Brandon Hawkins added a 2-point conversion.
Rossville increased its lead in the third. Hawkins broke loose on a 66-yard scoring scamper and Andre Davis found paydirt from 14 yards out. Davis also caught a conversion pass from Alex Ridge.
Wilbanks scored the game's final TD on a 17-yard run in the fourth while Davis added the conversion. Wilbank led the team with 158 yards on six carries. Davis finished with 63 yards on just four carries while registering three tackles on defense.
Dewaun Harrison led the Bulldogs' defense with five tackles, including one for loss and a forced fumble.
Devaughn Buchanan also had a big game with three tackles, two quarterback hits, one tackle for loss and two fumble recoveries.
Other defensive standouts included Landon Carver (2.5 tackles, 1.5 for loss), Tylor Swanson (3.5 tackles, one for loss) and Dalton Qualls (3.5 tackles, one forced fumble).
Rossville will host rival Chattanooga Valley Thursday at 4:45 p.m
