The American Heart Association is sponsoring a golf tournament at Battlefield Golf and Country Club in Fort Oglethorpe on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The four-man select shot event costs $75 per player. Registration begins at 7 a.m. that morning with a shotgun start scheduled for 8 a.m.

Chamber golf tourney

Mark your calendars now for the annual Walker County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament which will be held Thursday, Sept. 19 at the LaFayette Golf Course.

In case of rain, the event will be held Sept. 26.

Dalton tennis clinics

The Dalton Golf and Country Club is holding its annual youth summer tennis clinic series from through Aug. 6.

UTC hoop camp

The first boys basketball camp under the direction of new Chattanooga men’s basketball coach Jeff Lebo will be held July 28-Aug. 1 on the UTC campus. The camp is open to all boys ages 8-18.

Coach Lebo and his staff will instruct campers in all

aspects of the game.
