The public is invited to be “Wrapped-up with Christmas Joy in Walker County,” the theme for the annual Walker County Christmas Parade to be held Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. in LaFayette.

Line-up for the parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Municipal Park at 638 S. Main St., LaFayette.

Flyers have been mailed to all 2001 parade participants.

Groups entering the parade are asked to have the name of the organization on both sides of the float or vehicle.

Cash awards will be given as follows: $100 for first place, $75 for second and $50 for third.

High school bands from Chickamauga, LaFayette and Ridgeland will perform during the parade. The Christmas tree at John B. Gordon Hall will be lit immediately after the parade.
