Oakwood Christian Academy recently held competitions for sword drill and spelling bee representatives to serve as ambassadors to the annual GACS (Georgia Association of Christian Schools) Fine Arts Competition in the Atlanta area. Winners of the competition (from left) were Maria Hammond (spelling), Richmond Wrinkle (spelling), Jasmine Derry (sword drill), Autumn Ownby (sword drill), and Hannah Messer (sword drill). In addition to sword drill (Bible) and spelling bee, OCA will also be represented by the OCA Eagles chorus and ensemble, the OCA band, solo representatives and student artists. Last year OCA received Superior 1 ratings in all school-rated areas, and received the honor of being invited to perform in closing ceremonies.
