LAFAYETTE — A Ringgold woman died Thursday in a two car accident in south Walker County, according to the Georgia State Patrol’s LaFayette post.

According to the patrol:

Marie Grayson, 63, died after the 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass she was riding in failed to stop at the stop sign at U.S. 27 and Ga. 151 between LaFayette and Trion.

The car was heading south, driven by 37-year-old Marianne Roberts of Ringgold.

The Olds collided with a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix, headed northbound, injuring the driver.

Both Roberts and the Grand Prix driver remained Friday morning in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

There were no signs of alcohol and all three were wearing their seatbelts
