Alvin Worley will serve a second six-year term on the Catoosa Utility District Authority Board after winning the Oct. 1 election, defeating by a wide margin rivals Larry Holcomb, Sarah Hutelin and Amanda Spencer.

Initially, 667 residents cast ballots, but one voter chose two candidates, leaving final voter turnout at 666.

Worley received 386 votes, or 58 percent. Holcomb garnered 119 votes, or 18 percent, while Hutelin and Spencer received 102 votes, or 15 percent, and 59 votes, or 9 percent, respectively.

Commissioners earn $450 per month, while the chairman receives $550 per month.

The utility board also includes chairman Harry Cavin, vice chairman Jerry Lee, Jacob O. Bowman and James A. “Tony” Henson.
