Article one of two

The way the Republicans ate up John Roberts as if he were a tasty Tootsie-roll pop and the greatest legal mind in the history of the Republic was more than enough to turn the stomach.

Republicans, as a group, have evolved into such an alien thing without even knowing it; they represent a clear and present danger to individual liberty, American safety and peace in the world.

At their head is President George W. Bush and his neo-con lunatics who actually believe that it’s time for America, under the Republicans, to rule over the world and perform a make-over on the individual liberties of Americans in order to accomplish their goal of Pax-America under the great Caesar Bush and those that follow him on the throne.

Republicans have their heads stuck so far up in the smoke of their own hypocrisy, they’ve lost all their senses and the ability to reason and see off in the distance.

Take Judge Roberts, the overpowering, absolute reason, above all other reasons, that made him such a horrible choice for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, replacing the late William Rehnquist, is the fact that Bush wanted him to be chief justice and the Republicans are slurping all over him in ecstatic ecstasy.

Who do the Republicans think they’re fooling? They were not nearly so interested in his intelligence and qualifications as they were with the fact that he is most likely to rule on Constitutional issues just the way they see it.

For this new, alien strain of Republicans, Judge Roberts represented the perfect choice for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, a position he will hold for the rest of his life.

As Judge Roberts takes his seat as Chief Justice, all three branches of American government — executive, legislative and judicial — take a giant lock-step forward as Republican masters and rulers over America.

It is way past time for the warning to go out to the American people — what’s left of the Democratic Party and all the other parties that would like to come to our defense — a storm is coming, the likes of which will be so catastrophic to individual liberty and world peace as to be almost incomprehensible.

Such a warning will fall on the deaf ears of that great mass of our people who see, think and hear as Republicans. Why should they hear? They are part of the eye of the hurricane that’s coming.

A non-violent civil war is already near at hand in this country and the storm has not even made landfall yet. The Republicans are lined up on one side and the Democrats are lining up on the other. There will be a little shifting and changing in the ranks before the storm hits. A few Republicans may join the Democrats and a few Democrats will join the Republicans. Smaller parties outside these two mainstreams will take up their positions.

There is no way to avoid a non-violent civil war when the people of a nation are as divided as the people of America are today
