The Army Ground Forces Band featuring The Old Flint River Dixieland Band will perform at Pops in the Park at Wilder Tower on Saturday, May 23, in the nation’s oldest military park.
A salute to all military personnel, active duty and veterans, the free event kicks off at 7 p.m. at Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, with spectacular fireworks just after dark.
"Wilder Tower is a respectful venue to host a patriotic concert honoring the soldiers who have given their lives protecting and defending this country," said Mike Fuller, chief executive officer of Fuller Rehabilitation-Independent Living Aids, the major sponsor. "Pops in the Park is a great family event, and we hope the community will drop by for a relaxing and entertaining evening."
This is the sixth year that lead sponsor Fuller Rehabilitation – Independent Living Aids has proudly supported this event. Additional sponsors include Northwest Georgia Bank, Ringgold Telephone Company, Weeks and Peters Insurance, Hutcheson Medical Center, Chattanooga Times Free Press, and Wilkins Crews and Associates, P.C.
