Police searching for stolen car in Fort Oglethorpe

Fort Oglethorpe police detectives are searching for a vehicle stolen from an apartment complex during the early morning hours of Wednesday, March 6.

Officers met with the victim of Fort Town Apartments at 20 Acorn Lane who stated that his 1997 Dodge Neon was taken from the parking lot sometime between 1 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The Neon, which is red, has a cracked windshield and the driver’s side fender zip-tied in place, reports show.

The victim told police he has both sets of keys and the title to the vehicle still in his possession.

Officers conducted a canvas of the neighborhood, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

The victim stated that he had no idea of any possible suspects in the case.

The vehicle has a Ga. tag number of RS1665.
