According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office:
Johnathan Denson, 23, of Corinth Road was arrested March 1 and James Snider, 25, of Napier Street was arrested March 4 for a crime that occurred on Feb. 26.
The two men entered a residence on Southerland Lane at 2 a.m. searching for a wallet they claimed had been stolen from them.
A male and female at the residence told the two men they did not have the wallet, which led to an altercation in which Denson and Snider “pulled guns from their pockets.”
The male victim tried to take one of the guns away and was struck in the head by one of the men.
The two victims were tied up, while the two men ransacked the rest of the residence, except for a bedroom where two juveniles were sleeping.
The suspects allegedly took two cell phones and a box of tools.
Four to five hours later, one of the suspects untied the female victim to allow her to take her children to school.
When the female returned from dropping off the kids, one of the suspects stated they had found the wallet in their vehicle. The suspect told them not to inform police or they would return to hurt them.
According to the victims’ report, the children were never harmed or aware of the situation.
