The LaFayette Ramblers got a 12-foot jumper from KaDarrin Ramsey with 10 seconds to play, and a free throw by Tyrese Hunter with one second remaining, to hand Trion their first loss of the season on Tuesday, 39-36.

Trion led 16-6 early in the second quarter, but an 8-2 run by the Ramblers trimmed the deficit to 18-14 at halftime. The Bulldogs pushed the lead back out to as many as nine points in the fourth quarter, but LaFayette was able to complete the comeback and move to 5-2 overall.

Ramsey finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, and six steals, while Hunter had seven points and six steals. Bryson Giddy chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.

No information on the girls' match-up was available as of press time.
