The Gordon Lee Middle School basketball teams split their season-openers at Trion on Tuesday night.

The Lady Trojans ran out to a 16-0 lead after one quarter and coasted to a 52-7 win over the Lady Bulldogs.

Sarah Meadows had 14 points for Gordon Lee (1-0), while Lexie Clark and Molly Thomison had 10 points each.

The nightcap, saw Trion rally from a 19-13 halftime deficit to stun the Trojans, 37-34.

Gavin Roberson had 12 points for Gordon Lee (0-1), while Chaney Rogers and Caleb Boyd went for eight points each.

LaFayette boys 42, Dade County 36

The Ramblers, down 19-14 at halftime, came back in the fourth quarter to pick up a season-opening win on the road in Trenton.

KaDarrin Ramsey had a huge game with 14 points, 12 steals, and eight rebounds. Tyrese Hunter had 13 points, including two big treys in the fourth quarter, while Bryson Giddy had seven points and pulled down 11 rebounds.
