The Georgia DOT awarded a contract — valued at almost $500,000 — for the project that will include 2.029 miles of resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction, beginning at U.S. Hwy. 27/Ga. Hwy. 1 and extending to east of Westside Drive.
The resurfacing project is scheduled for completion by October 2013 at a construction cost of $403,925.
