Ringgold author Janie Dempsey Watts will be signing her new novel, “Moon Over Taylor’s Ridge,” on Nov. 13 at The Book Nook and Cubby Hole Café in Dalton. Event time is 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

"Moon Over Taylor's Ridge" follows a woman’s unexpected trip home to the Cherokee country of northwest Georgia that takes her on a journey of the heart.

Susan Gregg Gilmore, local author of “Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen,” described Watts' novel: “A Southern story of determination and hope, family and heartache, 'Moon Over Taylor’s Ridge' rings true and fine.”

A Chattanooga native, Watts has had stories published in magazines and anthologies, including the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books. Watts was selected to participate in the upcoming Dahlonega Literature Festival as a regional author, Nov. 10-11.
