The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 13, but had to be postponed due to a lack of game officials.
After ending regulation tied at 8-8, both teams scored touchdowns in the first overtime session, in which both teams began with the ball at their opponents' 10 -yard line.
The Trojans slung down Dade quarterback Gary Templeton for a loss on third down, but Templeton fired a 10-yard TD pass on fourth down to put his team back in front. The conversion attempt failed, leaving Gordon Lee a chance at victory.
However, the Wolverines defense rose to the challenge, stuffing three straight Gordon Lee runs for negative yards. Trojans quarterback Logan Hill fired a Hail Mary pass into the end zone on fourth down, but Dade was able to knock the ball to the turf and seal the win.
Following a scoreless first half, the Wolverines (1-3) quickly scored on their opening possession of the second half on a 10-yard run on fourth-and-goal. The two-point play gave them an 8-0 with 3:45 left in the third quarter.
Gordon Lee (0-3) would be shut down on their next two possessions, but a bad snap on a Dade punt with just over 3:30 to play in the game resulted in a 26-yard loss and gave the Trojans new life.
They drove the final 25 yards in just six plays with Chaney Rogers accounting for all the yardage. He bulled his way across the goal line from four yards out on fourth down, then added the conversion to tie the game.
Dade had one final chance to win the game in the final 1:21, but Templeton threw three straight incompletions to end the quarter at the Gordon Lee 45.
Caleb Butcher scored the first overtime touchdown for the Trojans on an four-yard run, but the Wolverines stopped the conversion try. Dade answered with a 10-yard run on their first play of overtime, but misfired on a pass attempt for the two points.
Rogers had 32 yards on nine carries, all in the second half. Makinnon Young ran five times for 24 yards, and Butcher had 12 carries for 21 yards. Noah Davenport recorded a solo sack for the Trojans defense.
Both teams will be back in action on Thursday. Dade County will play at LaFayette, while Gordon Lee will travel to face Chattanooga Valley.
