The LaFayette Middle School football team rallied from a 20-0 deficit to pull within a touchdown of Trion in the third quarter, but got no closer in a 40-12 loss in Trion on Thursday.

Trion (4-0) bolted out to the big lead, only to see the Ramblers get back in the game on the strength of a TD run and TD reception by KaDarrin Ramsey.

But the Bulldogs answered with a long kickoff return to set up another score and LaFayette never recovered.

Ramsey rushed for 163 yards and quarterback Logan Teasley threw for 104 yards for LaFayette (0-3). Noah Page had 15 tackles for the Ramblers, who will host Dade County on Thursday.
