The program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and include information on a variety of topics, such as toxic weed identification and management, an update on the latest pasture and hay field weed control products and a discussion on the importance of using the proper techniques for collecting forage samples for testing.
Speakers for the event include Whitney Murphy, DOW AgroSciences, and area extension agents. Those attending who have a private or commercial (category 21) pesticide license can earn two hours of recertification credit at this event.
There is no charge to attend the program, but those planning to attend should call the Walker County Extension Office at 706-638-2548 to sign up by Sept. 17.
