I am Purrrley.

Hear me roar.

This little kitty got her name because of her commanding purr (or roar).

She’s a seven-week-old calico point. Her eyes are translucent blue, and most of her fur is the color of cream.

Twenty-four hours after arriving at the Walker County Animal Shelter, she was in control of the office. When she’s not napping on the mat just inside the front door, requiring anyone entering to take a wide step over her, she’s wrestling with a beagle puppy twice her size.

She goes from zero to 90 in a nanosecond and back to zero just as fast.

Kittens are entertaining to watch. And it’s true that they are curious. They are also mischievous and energetic bundles of fur. They are cuddly and affectionate, wise and knowing. They can be elegant and poised one minute, and the next minute they turn into a goofy little clown with whiskers.

Purrrley is all this and more, even at seven-weeks-old. She will surely grow into a best friend for someone.
