The Battlefield Farmers’ Market has begun its “Monday Markets” in downtown LaFayette from 3-6 p.m. at Joe Stock Memorial Park. Monday’s Market will run until Aug. 27, during the height of the growing season for local farmers.

Battlefield Farmers’ Market will still be at the Walker County Agricultural Center at 10052 U.S. 27 in Rock Spring. On Wednesdays from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon until the second week in November, patrons can bring home all the freshest fruits and vegetables found in the area along with value-added products like baked goods, jams, jellies and grass-fed beef.

Recipients of SNAP (food stamps), will be able to use their EBT cards for purchases at both markets.

To become a member of the Battlefield Farmers’ Market or to learn more about the market, please visit wwww.battlefieldfmkt.org or call Karen L. Bradley in the evening at 706-638-7366.
