Tristan Lane Bennett and William Derrick Bailey announce their engagement.

The bride is the daughter of Denise Lane Bennett and the late John Ray Bennett of Chickamauga, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Vivian Lane and the late Dennis C. Lane and the late John R. Bennett of Fayetteville, Tenn.

The groom is the son of William Edward Bailey of Ooltewah, Tenn. and Teresa Ann Bailey of Ringgold. He is the grandson of Eliza Burke.

Bennett is a graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a master’s degree in education and educational specialist in school psychology from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She works as a school psychologist for the Brevard Public School District in Fla.

Bailey is a graduate of the McCallie School. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga. He works as an engineer for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in Cape Canaveral, Fla.

The couple will exchange vows Oct. 12 in Kauai, Hawaii.
