ENTERTAINMENT · The Share America Foundation will host award-winning Gospel Hall of Fame member Archie Watkins, formerly of the Inspirations, on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ringgold Depot, corner of Depot Street and U.S. 41 in Ringgold. Pianist Ryan Stinson will also perform. Randall Franks from TV’s “In the Heat of the Night” will emcee. The event is a fundraiser for the Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship Fund helping musicians achieve higher education. Donations for tickets are adults: $5, children 5 and under free with adult. COMMUNITY · A series of free basic diabetes education classes will be taught by Linda Long, certified diabetes educator, on Fridays, Feb. 10 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Walker Ag Center in Rock Spring. CHURCH · The Winter Bible Conference, “Israel and Prophecy,” which began Feb. 7, is at Faith Baptist Church through Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. COMMUNITY · Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park will hold a one-hour program at Orchard Knob Reservation Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. Join a park ranger to learn and discuss the 150th anniversary of the Twin Rivers Campaign, which made Ulysses S. Grant a household name and started the general on an upward path that eventually led to the overall command of the combined Union forces in Chattanooga. Please dress appropri-ately for the weather. Visitors are welcomed to bring a lawn chair. Meet the park ranger at the entrance gate lo-cated at the corner of Orchard Knob Avenue and Ivy Street. COMMUNITY · High schoolers in the Catoosa County area will have a new place to prom-shop this year that will hopefully be a little easier on their budget. Heritage High School’s Spirit Booster Club invites the public to attend its first annual “Prom Resale and Vendor Showcase Fundraiser.” Vendors and sellers will be set up in the Heritage gym Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be a $2 fee at the door; one raffle ticket is included with ad-mission. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $1 each. COMMUNITY · Saturday, Feb. 11, Chattanooga Room in the Inn will host Mardi Gras Magic at The Car Barn lo-cated near the intersection of Lee Highway and Highway 153. Attendees will enjoy Cajun cuisine, dancing and a parade complete with festive beads. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $60 and couples are $100.
