A 21-year-old Rossville man was arrested after an internal investigation by his employer revealed, police say, he stole more than $300 from the register of Hibbett Sports on Battlefield Parkway.

According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department:

Lukus Andrew Johnson, 21, of Nituna Avenue in Rossville was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 6, and charged with theft for allegedly taking $339 from the register on Nov. 23. Johnson has been released from jail on bond.

Officers were dispatched to Hibbett Sports at 70 Battlefield Station Drive at approximately 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 after the store’s loss prevention officer had detained Johnson.

Johnson, an employee of the store, admitted to taking the money and provided a written confession.
