NSA SOFTBALL: Local teams begin bracket play in 10-U "A" World Series

Three teams with local ties have begun play in the NSA 10-Under "A" World Series, being held this week in Chattanooga.

Pool play began earlier this week and bracket play got underway on Wednesday.

The Georgia Raiders won their first bracket game with a 4-3 victory over the Mattoon (IL) Pride. The Raiders will take on the Lake Shore Lightning (MD) tomorrow at 4:45 p.m. at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge.

The Chattanooga Force also won its opener on Wednesday with a 9-2 victory over the Maryland Chill.

The Force will face Alexander Blue (NC) at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow night at Camp Jordan. Alexander Blue handed the Georgia Twisters a 7-1 loss on Wednesday.

The Twisters and Chill will square off in an elimination game Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

The tournament finals will be held Saturday at 9:45 a.m. at Frost Stadium in Warner Park.
