Allison Nance and Steven Break exchanged wedding vows in a 7 p.m. ceremony Saturday, June 25, at Mountain Oaks Wedding Chapel in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Helton of Trion. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Beau Rogers of Illinois and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ward of Arkansas.

Rev. Tim Wilson performed the double ring ceremony. Nuptials were outdoors under an arch adorned with white ribbons, tulle, greenery and red roses.

Preceding the ceremony, some of the pre-nuptial selections included “A River Flows in You,” “How Beautiful,” “Ode to Joy,” “Spring from the Four Seasons” and “Air from Water Music.” During the processional, the wedding party walked to “Canon in D Major.”

The flower girl, bride, and her father were brought to the aisle in a carriage pulled by Shire horses. The bride, escorted by her father, walked down the aisle to “Come Away with Me.”

Jillian Freeman of Ringgold served as matron of honor. Whitney Jones of Ringgold served as bridesmaid. Jessalyn Nance, daughter of the bride, served as flower girl.

Justin Murray of Illinois served as best man. Matthew Break, brother of the groom, and Jerry Rosas of Illinois served as groomsmen. Caleb Nance, son of the bride, served as ring bearer. Ushers were Jonathan Break of Arkansas and Casey Chance of Illinois.

The bride selected a strapless, luxe taffeta gown by Mori Lee. Crystal bead work began at the strapless bodice and was used at the left hip to enhance the draping of the gown. The draping was smooth across the torso and the skirt showed soft gathers at the hips. The gown had a corset-laced back and a moderate train. Even diagonal draping was also used across the lower back. She chose dangling diamond earrings to accent the dress and a camouflage garter inspired by her groom, who serves in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne.

The bridal bouquet was a hand-tied bouquet consisting of 24 red roses and white star flowers. Rhinestones were also placed in various points in the bouquet. The bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of white daisies with red centers. The flower girl carried a white basket filled with red, heart-shaped rose petals. The bridal party walked down an aisle strewn with red roses petals.

The bridesmaids wore strapless, satin dresses in apple. The dresses were knee-length and ruched at the bodice. The flower girl wore a white, sleeveless dress with white, floral appliques. She walked barefoot down the aisle. The groom, groomsmen, ring bearer, and ushers wore black tuxedos with apple-colored vests and ties. The father of the bride chose a black tuxedo with a black vest and tie. All male members of the bridal party wore boutonnieres with red rose buds. The groom’s boutonniere had an additional white star flower.

The couple chose a sand ceremony in lieu of a candle ceremony. They combined red and black sand into an etched crystal decanter.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom entertained with a reception held at Mountain Oaks Wedding Chapel. The bride’s table was scattered with red, heart-shaped, rose petals. It featured a white, three-tiered, wedding cake decorated with black scrolls. A black satin ribbon circled the base of each tier. Live, red rose buds adorned the various tiers. A heart-shaped glass topper engraved with the bride and groom’s names was used. The cake sat on a silver tray.

The groom’s table was also scattered with red rose petals. It featured a chocolate cake decorated with tuxedos along the sides and six red roses sitting on the top. The cake sat on a silver tray.

The reception tables were scattered with red, heart-shaped rose petals and hershey kisses decorated with the bride and groom’s names. A glass, heart-shaped bowl sat as the centerpiece for each table and was filled with floating candles. Silver trays were used to serve a variety of hors d’oeuvres, including assorted sandwiches on croissant bread, pigs n a blanket, vegetable trays, nuts, and mints.

The couple have planned a honeymoon trip to Savannah, Ga.
