· The next Catoosa County Tea Party meeting will be held Tuesday, June 21 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Catoosa County library at Benton Place Campus. The guest speaker will be Timothy Johnson, a native of Chattanooga and a graduate of East Ridge High School. He is a history professor at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn.
· The Zoning Board of Appeals for the city of LaFayette will meet June 24 at City Hall at 8:30 a.m.
· All departments of the Walker County Board of Education will be closed for energy savings June 24 and July 1. Walker County schools will operate Monday through Thursday until Aug. 29.
