According to the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, residential sale statistics for the northwest Georgia area from May are as follows:

For Catoosa County, there were 36 sales. The total amount of the sales was $4,357,484, and the median sale price was $114,950.

For Walker County, there were 31 sales. The total amount of the sales was $2,268,648, and the median sale price was $70,800.

For Dade County, there were 8 sales. The total amount of the sales was $1,205,800, and the median sale price was $140,450.

For Whitfield County, there were 12 sales. The total amount of the sales was $696,653, and the median sale price was $55,950.

For Chattooga County, there were 2 sales. The total amount of the sales was $77,500, and the median sale price was $38,750.

In total for the area, there were 89 sales, for a total amount of $8,606,085. The median sale price overall was $79,000.

There were 89 sales total for the month of May 2011 compared to April total sales of 99. This is a decrease of 10 sales in the northwest Georgia area from last month. The northwest Georgia median sale was lower for all counties, except Dade and Chattooga in May, which had an increase in median sales.
