Teems and Teems Realty in LaFayette is the first Realtor in the area to offer a website for mobile devices, such as smartphones, said David Wardlaw, Realtor and IT manager for the real estate company.

Smartphones users can access the on-the-go website using a QR code, which works much like a barcode. Scan-ning the code with a smartphone that is equipped with a barcode reader application and a camera will take the person directly to the website.

Wardlaw said the website is a condensed version of the teemsandteems.com website. Even though it’s a con-densed version, it is full-featured with property-specific real estate information and photos, Wardlaw said.

“This is very popular right now and very handy,” Wardlaw said. “This (website for mobile devices) creates tre-mendous opportunity in the real estate market.”

Teems and Teems launched the mobile website last month and expects to see other Realtors to doing the same.
