Eddy and Sandy Vaughn of the Chickamauga/LaFayette area celebrated their wedding Oct. 23. The wedding took place at Battlefield Community Church in Fort Oglethorpe with Rev. Darrell Vaughn performing the ceremony. The unity candles were lit by Jesse Scott and Pat Poteet.

Maid of honor was Pamela Griffin of LaFayette. Bridesmaids were best friends, Aleatha Fye of LaFayette and Johnna Parrish of Chickamauga.

Best man was Freddie Vaughn of Highpoint. Groomsmen were Kenneth Gibson of Atlanta and Jesse Scott of LaFayette.

The bride was given away by Jesse Scott and Cleo – her son and the family dog.

Pictures were made by Pic By Hannah. The music was a beautiful array put together by the bride and her sister. Flowers were all beautiful fall colors made by Sandy and Pamela.

The wedding ceremony was organized by Kathy Sizemore of LaFayette.

The reception was held at the LaFayette Housing Authority community room. The host and hostess were Karen Oakes, Freddie Vaughn and Kitty Banks. The decorations were beautiful fall color flowers and candlelit tables.

The bride’s cake was a two-tier cake with cream cheese icing and a Betty Boop bride topper, made by Penny Ledford. The groom’s cake was a chocolate two-layer cake with outdoor scenery on it, also made by Penny Ledford. The servers were Karen Oaks, Robin Nordiquist, Starla Pickard and Tabitha Russell, all of LaFayette. The keeper of the bride’s book was Deana Crosswhite of LaFayette.
