According to the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, residential sale statistics for the northwest Georgia area from January are as follows:

For Catoosa County, there were 23 sales. The total amount of the sales was $3,065,100, and the median sale price was $127,500.

For Walker County, there were 33 sales. The total amount of the sales was $3,434,101, and the median sale price was $79,000.

For Dade County, there were 2 sales. The total amount of the sales was $100,000, and the median sale price was $100,000.

For Whitfield County, there were 7 sales. The total amount of the sales was $623,475, and the median sale price was $72,975.

For Chattooga County, there were 7 sales. The total amount of the sales was $572,895, and the median sale price was $56,500.

In total for the area, there were 72 sales, for a total amount of $7,795,571. The median sale price overall was $85,000.

The total number of sales for January 2010 was 45 compared to January 2011 being 72. This results in a difference of 27 sales for the northwest Georgia area.
