GOVERNMENT · The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Region One Planning Board will hold a town hall meeting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Professional Building, 36 Mulberry Street, Suite 4, Ellijay, GA 30540. The purpose of this meeting is to identify unmet service needs in this region for people with developmental disabilities, serious mental illnesses, and for those who abuse substances. The general public, elected officials, plus those with special interests in mental health, developmental disabilities and addictive diseases are encouraged to attend. Information gathered from this meeting will be used to develop the state plan for services. The DBHDD Region One Planning Board includes 31 counties across north Georgia.
