She is the granddaughter of Marvin and Teresa Chase of LaFayette, the late Clarence and Beverly Haygood of LaFayette, step-granddaughter of Lamar and Mary McClure. She is the great-granddaughter of Josephine Frashier and the late Edward Frashier of LaFay-ette, Leona Brock of Middleburg, Fla., and late Harold Chase of Kingstone Heights, Fla.
