School Social Workers Association of Georgia-District 7 elects Chickamauga’s Kulik as president
The School Social Workers Association of Georgia-District 7 recently elected Linda Kulik, school social worker for Chickamauga City Schools, to serve as district president this year. The district encompasses several north Georgia school systems, including Bartow, Calhoun City, Cartersville City, Catoosa, Chattooga, Chickamauga City, Dade, Dalton City, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Polk, Rome City, Trion City, Walker and Whitfield. School social workers provide support for educators as they work to prepare students to be college and career ready; they also help students in school by connecting school, family and community to address barriers that impede student achievement. Kulik has more than 25 years of experience as a school social worker. She has been employed with Chickamauga City Schools since 2002.
