Future Farmers of America (FFA) students from Ringgold High School recently visited Atlanta for an FFA competi-tion. Logan Davis answered FFA questions and took a written exam. Gerrard Wilhoite, Damon Waters and Saman-tha Wilhoite competed in farm business management. They had to develop and use marketing skills for an agricul-tural business. The animal science class at Ringgold High School took Santa to the local area elementary schools before the Christmas school break (Dec 21). FFA advisor Chuck Williams said the students wanted to give something back to the community. They decided since not all children could afford to go see Santa and pay for pictures, they wanted to visit local students with a special surprise and give out candy canes along with holiday cheer. Schools visited were Ringgold Primary, Tiger Creek Elementary and Graysville Elementary. The event was a great success and will hopefully become an annual tour each year.
