NGAC Basketball: Gordon Lee boys, Heritage girls roll on

The two top-seeded teams in the North Georgia Athletic Conference basketball tournament moved on to Friday's semifinals after posting comfortable wins on Tuesday at Heritage Middle School.

The Gordon Lee Trojans opened up a 44-14 lead after three quarters en route to a 55-25 win over Chattanooga Valley.

Chaney Rogers paced the Trojans with 14 points, while Caleb Boyd finished with 12.

Marquie Davis had six points for the Eagles.

Gordon Lee will take on the winner of Thursday's LaFayette-Dade County game in the semifinals.

The top-seeded Heritage girls had no trouble with Trion, posting a 38-11 victory.

Tori Harvey and Sydney Smith had nine each for the Lady Generals, who will play on Friday against the winner of Thursday's game between Dade County and Lakeview.

Jordan Floyd had a team-high four points for the Lady Bulldogs.

Tuesday's other game saw the Trion boys open up a 31-8 halftime lead as they beat Ringgold, 52-32.

Isaiah Foster led all scorers with 22 points for the Bulldogs, while Ty Reynolds chipped in with nine.

Trion will do battle against Heritage or Rossville in the semifinals.

Jensen Schon paced the Tigers with seven points.

Wednesday features a 4:30 game between the Gordon Lee Lady Trojans and the LaFayette Lady Ramblers and a 5:45 boys' game between Heritage and Rossville.
