The Gordon Lee Middle School Lady Trojans saved their best for last on Tuesday.

A 10-0 run in the final three minutes erased an eight-point deficit and gave the Navy-and-White a 32-30 win at Heritage in North Georgia Athletic Conference action.

Heritage (10-6) led from the outset, leading 9-4 after one quarter and 15-8 at halftime. Gordon Lee used an 8-1 run early in the third quarter to tie the game at 16, but the Lady Generals ended the period on a 10-4 spurt and pushed the lead to 30-22 with just over three minutes to play in the game.

The Lady Trojans (13-3, 13-2) finally tied the game with 1:10 to play on an Avrie Weldon lay-up off an assist from Madelyn Lee. Then, following turnovers by both teams, Sarah Meadows blocked an attempted lay-up, grabbed the rebound, and went coast-to-coast for a lay-up to give her team its first and only lead of the game with 30 seconds remaining.

Heritage turned the ball over once more on the inbounds pass and allowed Gordon Lee to run off some of the clock before fouling. The Lady Trojans missed the front end of a one-and-one, but the Lady Generals could not get off a final shot before time expired.

Meadows led Gordon Lee with 14 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, while Weldon scored all eight of her points in the second half.

Shelby Hammontree had 13 points for Heritage while Nikol Taylor scored seven.

In the nightcap, the Trojans moved to 14-0 in NGAC, but not before a hard-fought 43-35 win over the Generals.

Gordon Lee (15-1) got 17 points from Tucker Bradley and 10 from Andrew Towns. Gavin Roberson added seven while Caleb O'Neal pulled down seven rebounds. Chaney Rogers spurred the defensive effort, including taking a pair of key charges.

Dylan Bice had 10 points for Heritage while Hunter Erickson added seven.

Gordon Lee will end the regular season at Rossville on Thursday. The NGAC tournament will begin on Monday at Ringgold.
