According to the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department:
Brian Everette Strange, 43, of Hamilton Lane in Kingston, Tenn., was arrested Monday, Oct. 1, on a charge of first-degree forgery. He has been released on bond.
Police were notified by the lead pharmacy tech of the CVS Pharmacy at 887 Ga. 2 (Battlefield Parkway) that someone using the name “Brian Taylor” had dropped off what she believed to be a forged prescription from a Chattanooga, Tenn., physician.
"She then called the doctor's office and confirmed that the prescription was in fact a forgery," detective Johnny Lanham said. "She advised that the suspect was going to pick up the prescription at approximately 11:40 a.m."
Detectives obtained a picture of the man from the security video and waited in the parking lot for his arrival, reports show.
Shortly thereafter, Brian "Taylor," who is actually Brian Strange, arrived and was arrested for forgery.
