Rossville’s Lauren Alaina will be competing for her first major country music award at tonight's Country Music Television Awards.

Her hit release "Georgia Peaches" is nominated for the Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year. The show airs live from Nashville at 8 p.m. on CMT.

CMT awards are voted on by the fans and honor the best in country music videos. Alaina, who was runner-up on Season 10 of "American Idol," is up against artists and videos including Brantley Gilbert's "Country Must Be Country Wide,” Hunter Hayes' "Storm Warning," Scotty McCreery's "The Trouble With Girls," Pistol Annies' "Hell on Heels," and Thompson Square's "I Got You."
