According to the Greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service, residential sale statistics for the northwest Georgia area year to date (January to July 28) are as follows:

For Catoosa County, there were 291 sales. The total amount of the sales was $36,376,222, and the median sale price was $117,000.

For Walker County, there were 263 sales. The total amount of the sales was $22,440,247, and the median sale price was $77,000.

For Dade County, there were 60 sales. The total amount of the sales was $5,251,900, and the median sale price was $75,000.

For Whitfield County, there were 67 sales. The total amount of the sales was $4,823,694, and the median sale price was $62,000.

For Chattooga County, there were 23 sales. The total amount of the sales was $1,444,545, and the median sale price was $35,000.

In total for the area, there were 704 sales, for a total amount of $70,336,608. The median sale price overall was $87,587.

There were 704 sales total for 2011 year to date compared to 2010’s 747 sales. This is a difference of 43 sales in the northwest Georgia area. The northwest Georgia median sale also decreased for each county.
